Welcome to the DIY Studio Furniture Collection – where pro function meets handcrafted design. Steve Kinney has always loved solving problems in the studio, from dialing in the perfect vocal chain to building the furniture he wished existed. With a passion for recording, mixing, and crafting, Steve has designed custom pieces that make creative spaces more efficient, inspiring, and gear-friendly.

The first release in this collection is the SKINNEY Sidecar – a sturdy, stylish rack unit built to safely house your studio gear while keeping everything accessible and organized. It’s the same model Steve uses in his own daily workflow.

Also in development: Steve’s custom studio desk—designed from scratch to maximize comfort, gear access, and style. This desk, used every day in his own studio, will soon be available as a DIY plan so you can bring the same functionality into your space.

Steve’s long-term dream is to launch a full furniture brand called SKINNEY AUDIO, but for now, he’s opening the doors to SKINNEY DIY—giving fellow creators access to the exact designs that power his studio life.
